Sliding Gym Wall Concerns

My concern is about the sliding gym wall at Severna Park Middle School. As a former student, the wall was a very needed part for all the gym classes, plus the after and before sports. Also as an avid soccer player, when the ball goes out of bounds, it interupts the match on the other side. But recently, I heard that instead of fixing the gym wall, they are putting up a manual curtain. Many people, including the gym teachers, don't like this idea. The manual curtain wouldn't help anymore than the current situation. The curtain would just make the games more distinctable but wouldn't keep the ball in bounds and things similar to that. My question is: Does anyone have any tips or advice to fix this problem? This is becoming a big problem in the school noise-wise and class-wise.
