Person's suspension charges thrown out- what now?
Hi folks,
I was physically assualted in one of my classes a few weeks ago by a student who cut both my arms with a metal piece of a floppy disk. I reported it to an administrator and they took action, but now I've heard the kid's suspension papers were shredded by the principal and he was let back into school. I have seen him back in my class but he hasn't done anything to me.
Does anyone know what I should do about this?! Should I ask the principal what actually happened?
Thanks in advance
Regards

You can ask but there are way to appeal a suspension and that may hvae been what happened you should ask the administrator who dealt with it.

That's so unfair that he was left in school! I as well as my parents would be enraged if I was in the same situation!

It is a system and it caan be beaten and it can be challenged. You don't have to sit and do nothing.

that sounds really scary though
you should really ask though
I'd be dying to find out why the principal would do that
(if it's not that personal of an answer, I'd realy like to know why)

Safety and Social Issues
Something like that happened to me a couple of weeks ago.
I went to the principal to report it but the girl was still in school the next day. So then my mom went to my principal and the story was told again.
My principal and my mom both agreed that the action was an attack.
The punishment for this kind of attack was a suspension for 28-30 days.
Problem Solved!!! Right!!!
Wrong!!! Problem Not Solved!!!
The girl was in school the next week...
Once again my mom went to my school. But this time not to report anything but instead to find out what the girls' punishment was.
My principal said that he could not give any information about the other girl to my mom or me.
But DrewT is right this can be challenged and it should be challenged.
I never did find out what happened to the girl... My principal won't tell me and I guess I could ask the girl but I can't just go up to her after what happened

that's really horrible
I'd think you'd have a right to know
and your mom as well
I know my mom would be doing the same
