high school dances

i dont know about other high schools in the county but severna parks new dance policy is wrong. At our valentines dance they turned on the lights so we wouldnt dance sooooo close. And they say that its not right and its not what they were brought up with. Well in case you havent noticed were not in the 70s anymore and we dont do the disco. This is waht we are being brought up with. just turn on the tv and you see it all the time. But ill agree that some of it is wrong but no bad enough that you have to turn on the lights and kick ppl out cause there are wearing shorts instead of pants. Its not like its 100 degrees. Somebody please tell something

I don't know what to say. I didn't go to the Valentine's dance, but I heard about it. I guess that all I can say is that the administration didn't want people to do what they did last year at that dance. I don't think that their choice of action was correct, but I can't really think of something else that they could have done. Maybe if the dance wasn't fun they shouldn't have had the dance at all...would that have been better?
