I think i know where your coming from. Varsity is the last 2 years of your high school experience and it gets way more attention. Also, varsity is way more intence than junior varsity. But, i think junior varsity is important to . So if u want more people to go to the Junior varsity games. Tell your football(sport) team to go to them. Sooner or later evryone will go because they know that varsity and junior varsity are equaly important

It is true that Varsity game get more attention. But by being on Varsity you earn that attention.

Why should the varsity team get all the attention? I mean, one day the JV people will be on the varsity team, which the press will not know due to the lack of attention on the JV's half. A school wouldn't get reconized because the press doesn't know what the JV team did, like beating a arch rival, unlike the varsity, who get a lot of attention, even when it's negative.

Having played JV sports for two years and now varsity sports, I can honestly say that I am not bothered by the lack of attention displayed towards JV athletics. There is no question at my school, or the schools around me, that the Varsity teams are far superior to their JV counterparts, and thus more fun to watch. As time goes on,a school's best young players will emerge on Varsity in the future, and will get there time to shine then. Although it is a valid point that often a JV team's record is indicitive of a Varsity team's future, it is not important to hear press coverage of JV teams, as one previous post suggested. Often times, after a superior athlete spends a small time on the JV squad, they are transferred to Varsity mid-year, and that is when their high school athletic career should really be centered. While JV sports are fun, team building, and healthy, they do not deserve the same attention afforded to Varsity.
